Eyefinity Announces Live Integration with Diversified Ophthalmics' Practice Management System
FOLSOM, CA, April 5, 2005 -- Eyefinity, the optical industry's most widely used Internet portal, has announced the launch of the integration of Eyefinity's online services into Diversified's Practice Maximus Practice Management Software.
This integration provides Practice Maximus users with access to Eyefinity online services such as VSP, government and commercial claim submission, online lab and product ordering and access to online CE courses.
This practice management integration is an additional partnership to the recently announced agreement to offer Diversified's extensive contact lens lines, including Bausch & Lomb, CIBA Vision, Cooper Vision, Hydrogel Vision, Ocular Sciences, Unilens, and Vistakon, directly to private eyecare practices through Eyefinity's eBuy online order center.
"Continuing evolution and improvement is a fundamental part of the success of Practice Maximus. The integration of Diversified's Practice Maximus and Eyefinity is a natural extension of this strategy," commented Dr. Ronald Cooke, President and CEO of Diversified Ophthalmics.
Added Eyefinity's Vice President of Technology Steve Baker, "Our goal is to offer flexible and integrated solutions to help private practice eyecare providers advance their practice. We're pleased to announce to our mutual customers that they can integrate our services to improve their office efficiency."

About Diversified Ophthalmics
Based in the Cincinnati area, Diversified Ophthalmics was founded in 1977 with the express purpose of assisting independent eyecare providers. Beginning as a buying group, Diversified Ophthalmics later implemented its "Single Sourcing" concept, which now allows the company to supply almost every need of any eye care practice.
Practice Maximus was developed thirteen years ago as an eyecare specific software program that is regularly modified to meet the changing needs of the eyecare industry. Currently, Diversified Ophthalmics supplies ECP's coast to coast, providing Rx work, frames, soft lenses, gas permeable contact lenses, non-Rx sunglasses, office and professional supplies, computer services, medical and ophthalmic text and reference books, and even the printing of office forms and business and recall cards.
