EyefinitySM Names Steve Baker VP of Technology
FOLSOM, CA, May 6, 2002 -- EyefinitySM, the optical industry's most widely used Internet portal, today announced the appointment of Steve Baker to the position of vice president of technology. In his new role, Baker will be responsible for the development and delivery of Eyefinity's products, services and technology. Baker previously served as Eyefinity's director of software development.
"He was the natural choice for our vice president of technology," said Eyefinity CEO Don Yee. "We have many new products and services being unveiled this year and Steve offers the strong combination of an understanding of the optical industry, as well as the experience in delivering innovative technology."
Prior to joining Eyefinity, Baker was director of software product development at Gtech Corporation. Since 1980 he has held several management positions in software development for a variety of industries, including online gaming, semiconductors and defense. Baker received his bachelor's degree in computer science from California State University, Northridge in 1982.
